Why Begin With a Skin Consultation?
Because Good Treatment Starts With Understanding

It can be tempting to choose a treatment based on a recommendation, something you have seen online or a particular concern you would like to improve.

But skin is rarely that simple.

Your skin type, current condition, skincare routine, previous treatments, lifestyle and wider goals can all influence which approach may be appropriate for you.

That is why Christina places so much value on consultation.

Rather than starting with the question, “Which treatment would you like?”, the conversation starts with you.

What have you noticed about your skin?

 What bothers you most?

 What have you already tried?

What would you like your skin to feel or look like?

From there, Christina can help make sense of the options available and create a plan based on what your skin actually needs.

What to Expect During Your Consultation

We Talk About Your Skin
Complete Skin Evaluation

Your consultation begins with a conversation.

Christina will ask about your current concerns, what you would like to improve and any previous treatments or skincare experiences that may be relevant.

This is also your opportunity to ask questions, talk openly about anything you are unsure of and explain what you hope to achieve.

There is no pressure to commit to treatment during your appointment.

Skin Assessment & Analysis

Christina will assess your skin and consider the factors that may be contributing to your concerns.

This allows the conversation to go beyond simply looking at the surface of the skin and helps Christina understand which treatment approaches, skincare products or changes may be worth considering.

Where appropriate, Christina will also explain the physiology behind what may be happening within your skin, helping you understand why certain recommendations are being made.

Your Current Skincare Routine

If possible, come prepared knowing your skincare products you currently use, or simply take photographs of them before your appointment.

Christina can review your existing routine and help you understand what is working well, what may no longer be serving your skin and whether anything should be introduced or adjusted.

The aim is not to replace everything you own. It is to create an efficacious routine that has a clear purpose and works alongside any professional treatments you may choose to have.

Your Personalised Recommendations

Once Christina has a clearer picture of your skin, she can talk you through the options that may be suitable.

You may only need one treatment, or your goals may be better approached through a longer-term programme.

There is no predetermined pathway.
Your recommendations will be based on what makes sense for your skin, your goals and your lifestyle.

Your Personalised Skin Plan
Clear Guidance Before You Decide

By the end of your consultation, the aim is for you to have a much clearer understanding of your skin and the options available to you.

Christina will talk you through:

  • The treatments she recommends
  • Why those treatments may be suitable
  • What each treatment involves
  • What results may realistically be expected
  • Any preparation required beforehand
  • Expected downtime where relevant
  • Suggested treatment frequency
  • Ongoing maintenance
  • Recommended skincare
  • Treatment costs

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and take the time you need to decide how you would like to proceed.

Honest Advice Comes First

There may also be occasions when the right recommendation is to wait, change your skincare first or not proceed with a particular treatment at all.

That is an important part of Christina’s approach.

The consultation is not about finding as many treatments as possible.

It is about finding the right approach and making sure you understand why it has been recommended.

Can I Have Treatment on the Same Day?

In some cases, yes. Where the treatment is appropriate, no advance preparation is required and Christina is satisfied that it is suitable for you, treatment may be carried out during the same visit.

Some treatments require preparation, additional assessment or a separate appointment and therefore cannot be performed immediately.

Christina will explain this clearly during your consultation so you know exactly what your next step will be.

Same-day consultation and treatment may be available where suitable.

Informed Consent
Feeling Comfortable With Your Decision

Before any treatment is carried out, you will be asked to provide written consent.

This is an important part of the treatment process and ensures you have been given the information you need to make an informed decision.

Christina will talk you through the relevant treatment information, including what the procedure involves, expected outcomes and any associated risks or considerations.

You will have time to read the relevant forms and ask questions before deciding whether you would like to proceed.

There is never a need to feel rushed.

Clinical Photography
An Important Part of Your Treatment Record

Before and after photographs form part of Christina Bethany Clinic’s confidential treatment records and can be valuable when reviewing your progress over time.

Clinical photographs may therefore be taken before and following treatment where appropriate.

These images remain part of your confidential client record.

Photographs will never be used for social media, marketing or promotional purposes without additional consent from you.

If Christina would like to share your results publicly, she will always discuss this with you separately and ask for your permission first.

What Happens After My Consultation?

If you decide to go ahead, the next step will depend on the treatment plan you and Christina have discussed.

You may:

  • Have treatment during the same appointment where suitable
  • Book your first treatment for another date
  • Begin a recommended skincare routine
  • Prepare your skin ahead of treatment
  • Start a planned course of appointments
  • Take some time to consider your options before booking

Your journey can move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Aftercare & Ongoing Support

Your support does not finish once treatment has taken place.

Following any treatment at Christina Bethany Clinic, you will receive aftercare guidance tailored to the procedure you have had.

Christina will explain what is normal to expect, anything you should avoid and how best to care for your skin while it recovers.

If you have questions or concerns afterwards, you can contact the clinic for guidance.

For clients following a longer-term skin programme, future appointments also provide an opportunity to review progress and adjust the plan where needed.

Consultation Fees

Consultations are non-refundable and act as a deposit for treatment.

Your consultation gives Christina dedicated time to assess your skin, understand your concerns and prepare personalised recommendations.
